Recommendations for nursing pads?
Hi mamas: Just curious what you all think are the best nursing pads and where I can get them. Are the wool ones really that great? It'd be great if it was something 'discreet' as well. TIA!

Re: Recommendations for nursing pads?
I've tried lots. I have over-active let down and am a very heavy leaker though.
I LOVE the lansinoh pads. They are the best disposable option, I think. I tried Lily Padz and liked them at first. But, my letdown was too much for them. Also, if you get sweaty they start to fall off (not a good option for summer). But, for a few weeks they did work pretty well for me (once my letdown wasn't as heavy). I also have Lana wool pads. I like them a lot. I can't use them overnight because my morning letdown (after the 12 hours DD sleeps) is too much for them but otherwise they are wonderful! Hope that helps!

Re: Recommendations for nursing pads?
I used disposable ones with my first DS. That was before I realized there were other alternatives. Now, with Alex, I have been using Lana ones and love them. They are not scratchy at all. And I saved a lot of money not buying sposies!

Re: Recommendations for nursing pads?
unfortunately I can't remember the names of the ones I bought... but I would suggest getting the contour ones rather than flat ones, they are a lot more comfortable and don't have weird folds that can show through your clothes (better for summer)
I don't like the little lamb ones that I got off of ebay, I don't leak too much and I soak through those... I like ones that have a waterproof backing a lot more.

Re: Recommendations for nursing pads?
My mom just made me some. They are easy to make if you have a sewing machine. I have a lot of let down so she made me about 30 of them, and my box always seems to be empty so they are getting used. I can't imagine having to buy that many. (I can't nurse without leaking out the other side, but I have a ton of milk. I leaked for a year with my first)
