Re: Changing the name?

When I see Lana I would pronounce it Lane-ah

I wonder if it has to do with what part of the country you're in too

Re: Changing the name?

When I first saw the name I thought Layna Rain. I don't see how anyone could come up with Renee from Raine. The other girls are right, though, if you like the name as is, keep it. If you want to change the spelling of Lana, what about Lanah? No matter what you choose, please WILL say it wrong. That's just how it goes. I have a cousin name Micah (My-cah, like from the Bible) and he gets solicitation calls all the time for a Mr. Meecah _____. Nope, sorry, no one here by that name!

Re: Changing the name?

When I look at Raine I see the name "rain"

now on Lana- I know to say Lahna because I had a friend in highschool with that name however it always seemed like everyone was calling her L-aah-nuh

Re: Changing the name?

I was an exotic dancer for five years and my stage name was Raine. When pple would ask if it was my real name (of course it wasn't!) I would say sure, it's short for Lorraine. I knew another dancer at a different club who spelled it Rane but said it the same.
