why aren't the side snaps fitting very well?
It's almost like her legs are too small or something. The wais fits fine, but we get gaps on her thighs. However, on her XSMALL (and she's 2mos!) FBs her waist is at the tightest setting still while her thighs are at the second to loosest snap. (And on a small we have to do a funky crossover snap thing.) So what's the deal with the side snaps. Is it because they're trimmer in the crotch so it sits at a different spot or what???
I like how trim these are so I really want them to work. We have a Daisy Doodle AI2 and a Swaddlebees that have this problem. I have NO issues with my GAD, though?

Re: why aren't the side snaps fitting very well?
It may be how tight the leg elastic is. My gad has far tighter elastic than any SB I have owned. My dd is fairly tight though too so that may not be it...
SB and DD are also more bikini cut and offer less thigh coverage than the gads if you hold them up next to each other you'll see. BTW my dd was almost Abigail Jo! My moms middle name is Jo and dh loved Abigail, but I am not a fan of nicknames (didnt want her to be called abby or gail) so we went with Amelia.

I have a DD front snap that I love...maybe that would be better?

Re: why aren't the side snaps fitting very well?
we had lots of problems using any snaps until around 5 or 6 months. We just couldn't get the legs right with any of the ones we tried.
now side snaps work better because we can adjust the leg and waist seperately but still aplix and snappis give us the best fit

Re: why aren't the side snaps fitting very well?
Side snaps have never fit my dd well, when it comes to the front or side snaps I think it depends on the baby. My dd has a small/avg waist and huge thighs so front snaps fit her better. With side snapping we tend to get a droopy waist or red marks on her legs.

Does really depend on the build. I have an average sized baby waist and thighs and side snaps don't work well for us either.
