Anyone ever wash wool in a Front Loader?

I finally have accumulated enough wool items to run a small load in the washing machine!! However, according to the machine directions on the wool wash they say a bunch of things that a front loader cant do.. fill with water THEN add wool wash THEN add items... etc etc... I do have a "handwash/extra delicate cycle" and I can opt out of rinsing and spinning.. I just am not sure how to get the wool wash in the water before the woolens... is that necessary? Can I put the wool wash in the regular detergent bin? Incase it matters, I have Eculalan or however you spell it..

Anyone that has ever tried to wash woolens in a front loader please please let me know what you did and how it turned out!!

Thanks!!

Cindy
