Just wanted to add that it is amazing how great the surgens are at correcting cleft lips/palletes now. Joaquin Phoenix was born with a cleft lip and you can't even tell.

Absolutely true!!! I babysat a girl who was born with a cleft lip in 1991 and it was repaired when she was 2 months old - now that she's a teenager, you can't even see a scar in the sunlight. It's *so* perfectly done!

My mom was born with a cleft lip and palate and it is amazing how far doctors and medical everything has come since way back when.. I am sure your precious baby will look close to normal as normal can get by the time this is all over with (((HUGS))) It doesnt make a lesser person just a stronger one!
