Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
Now I am torn between the Ergo, Patapum and the Adagio. I really love the head support and cute prints of the Adagio.
Cant he Adagio be worn on the hip ? I know that the Ergo can, dont think that the Patapum can.

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
![]() Hi everyone! I have been told I can go ahead and post - I am Jen, the person behind Adagio designs. Thank you so much for asking questions - I am more than happy to answer any, and if anyone wants further info, please PM me! - - - - - - My DH and I spend a lot of time traveling back and forth both coasts, as well as to Paris, France, so I tend to wear my DS quite often during our outings. He was falling asleep, and his head was flopping backwards while on my back - so I came up with a design that allows the headrest to be cinched to give more support. I mainly use RS's and pouches for hip carries, so I designed my SSMT (Soft-structured MT) to be worn on the back and front. I make the carrier with single-adjust slides and buckles to account for multiple BW at different sizes. Anyway - I have updated my HC with some info about me, and some of my favorite BW pictures. Thanks again for checking them out, and I hope I can be of service if anyone has more questions. (Mods - if I have gone into too much info, please edit) Last edited by thaisa47; 09-13-2007 at 08:46 PM. |

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
These look great. Are they a structured waist belt like the ergo or beco with padding, or is it just a buckle with webbing?

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
Structured waist band like other SSC's, but a taller bodied MT.

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
Another question ?
How well do these work for short torsos since it has a taller body ?? I have a short torso and even with my MT I had to roll it up !

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
I would think you would just be able to adjust the shoulder strap to pull it in as much as you needed. I have a long torso... and we have the shoulder straps "let out" some (you can see in photo).

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
I consider myself to be short torso'd, and I don't have a problem wearing this.

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
Can you wear this with the straps crossed like an X when you do a front carry? I asked this in some other threads and got mixed answers. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks!

Re: Adagio Baby Designs SSC ?
No, the shoulder straps are secured with what I think they call ladder locks, not buckles, for more easy adjustibility, so you really can't do cross over with this carrier. But you can do a front carry, you just put the carrier in front, straps over your shoulders and secure the straps in the back with the chest clip. Jen has pics of this, lemme see if I can find one...
