Just wondering... right now we're only part-time CDing while we wait for the IPFs from the prefold co-op, so I only have 5 prefolds and 1 GAD to use. Which means I usually only have a couple of dipes to wash at a time since I want to make sure there are always some clean ones in the drawer.
So I'm wondering... is it okay to wash pee dipes with regular laundry? These are prefolds and covers that I'm using for the most part right now. I can't imagine it being a problem, but I figured I'd better ask. Poo dipes, forget it. They'll get their own load if I have to. I just don't mix that with clothes. But since all the pee is supposed to come out in the wash anyway, I figured it probably doesn't make a difference...

Re: Does anyone wash pee dipes with other laundry?
I throw in wet diapers with the towels or sheets if it is a hot load, as long as I double rinse it isn't a problem (if there is detergent residue, ds gets a rash). Lately, I have been doing a small cold wash with all the diapers, including poopy ones, then adding towel and doing a large hot wash with an extra rinse. It seems to work fine and save a litlle time

I toss in DS's Gerber training pants that have been peed - usually wash w/towels, sheets, or something like that. Just making sure it's a hot wash. Should be fine I think

Re: Does anyone wash pee dipes with other laundry?
I throw my prefolds in with a hot load of towells and sheets and have never had a problem. Though we use very little soap in all of our laundry. I do put baking soda in the washing machine with the dipes.

I know people who do it but I never have. I'm just silly about stuff like that though.

Re: Does anyone wash pee dipes with other laundry?
We do it all the time - just make sure you don't use fabric softener on that load!
If he peed on his clothes, I'd still wash them with other clothes . . . so why not dipes? Same for swimmy dipes. (Poop gets its own load, though!)
