Re: Why us?!

We still have very loose BM's so we stain lots. Fleece makes no difference for us, as the BM's are still soft so the coloration goes through the fleece and will still stain. I remove as much of the feces as possible before putting in the pail just to help with smell. As for getting rid of stains, the sun is your friend. I've found, as long as I put in the sun before it goes in the dryer, I have excellent luck. Even if it's gone in the dryer, I still have good luck most of the time. Just wet down the item and stick it out in the sun for an hour.

Re: Why us?!

I think it depends on the fabric and the detergent too some. My ov lined fitteds rarely stain. Neither do my sherpa. The ones lined with cotton fleece or hemp always stain. I also noticed more stains when I used sportwash. I get alot less stains with Tide. The sun works wonders though. I don't think I've ever gotten a stain that the sun hasn't taken out. I haven't sunned lately because the stains don't bother me.

I second the sunning. We hang all of our dipes and staining disappears. Hope it works for you.

I spray a little Bac Out on the stain and then sun! Works like magic.

That's OK, LOL. I don't care enough to sun - and there's no sun here right now anyway.
I was just wondering why everything of ours stained - it would be easier if they didn't. I don't worry about it coming out unless I'm selling anyway, I just don't like looking at it.

Re: Why us?!

i use fleece liners alot...but i just read that your son is allergic to the fleece....

i also almost always soak the poopy dipes if it wasn't solid and rolled right off. Then i sun anything that still looks stained.

Good luck!
