Slings and hip carry?

So up until this point I have only done frontfacing or cradle carry w/ my sling and us my babyhawk most other times, my LO is now 5.5 months old and I would love to do the hip carry for errands and such, but my hotsling seems to big. So i know since the baby was born I have lost some weight, but has any one run into needing a smaller size for different carries w/ the hotsling? I would love imput cause I think I am going to trade one for a smaller size! TIA!

That's why I like ring slings better. Yep hip carries = tight sling. You can always turn the shoulder and see if that brings him close enough. Otherwise, you'll have to get a smaller size.
How small are you? I think I have a hemp one that I never even used in size2. I could let it go pretty cheap.

Pm me if that's your size and your interested!

Oh thanks but I actually had a mama who has a 3 and needed a 4 so we are going to swap, I just wanted to get some feedback, because I was worried that I would get the 3 and not be able to use it, thanks

No problem. It would've been too small for you anyways!!

Have fun with the hip carries!!

Re: Slings and hip carry?

I've only tried on pouches... But I have a question....

So now that you have a pouch that fits for a hip carry... Is that now the only carry you can do with that pouch? What if the baby falls asleep, will you still be able to drop them to their side to snooze?
