I learned to sew and made a MT! Does it look right?

Here's some pics! My friend taught me to sew. I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt! Please tell me if it looks like we're wearing it right!

I think he's watching the fan, lol:

It looks kinda wonky because he stuck his arm out the top:

DD wanted in on the action too. Here she is in an attempted back carry... it doesn't seem to go high enough up her back?:

Looks great in the first two pics...if you are going to do a back carry, before you tie the shoulder straps, hold them both at your sides and bounce your LO in deeper in the MT. Then tie.

Looks like you did good!! The print is great and it looks comfy! I agree, you need to 'bounce' them down into it to get the fabric higher on the back...

I did... I used the pattern from this website. www.bradley-etheridge.com/MaeMeiTai.htm The patterned part of the carrier is velcroed in so you can replace it with different designs! I love it! I've wanted one of these forever but they are so expensive. I never thought I'd be able to make one myself. It was A LOT of work. Especially sine I had to learn to work a sewing machine!

I used stiff felt in the waist straps, but I didn't use the fleece to pad the shoulders. Might try it if I make another!
