If you know how much your item weighs, you can check the postage to Canada online. Then you know how much shipping is compared to in the US and you can decide if you're willing to go that low.

Pockets and covers are cheap to ship to Canada, though a lot of moms ask for extra to ship it. Once you get to fitteds and AIOs, you probably want to check the specific weigh as it does tend to be more than within the US.

Sometimes I make an offer because I want to negotiate, and perhaps I'm not desperate for the diaper. I don't mind if the seller says no, or counter-offers, I want her to do whatever she's comfortable with, I don't want to pressure her or anything.
I also don't mind paying more if the item does cost more to ship, but sometimes I think I've been asked to pay more when the item doesn't really need extra postage, just because I'm in Canada. I guess it might be more hassle to fill out a customs form, but I have to do that too when I sell.
