What's the difference???

What is the difference between a prefold and a flat????

A flat is one big piece of cloth that needs to be folded many times to be used as a diaper. They dry really fast, but require that folding time before use. Flats are very versitile because you can fold them to the perfect size.

Prefolds are already the size to use, and are sewed with extra absorbancy in the middle. They take longer to dry, but don't need to be folded several times to be used. (Most mamas use them trifolded in a trim cover, or snappi'd or pinned.) There are different sizes in prefolds.

Prefolds are generally more absorbant, and flats are generally cheaper. HTH!
