question about going into labor
okay this may sound like a weird question i'm not really sure.
so with my first ds, my ob stripped my membranes at 36 weeks (he thought i was at 38, even though i argued this point with him through the whole pg! but u/s said baby was fine so we went with that). i went into the hosp the next morning and was at 6 (i was 5 when he stripped), stayed at 6 for about 6 hours then they put me on pitocin and got things going. also from 25 weeks to 36 weeks when i had him i was at home on bedrest on meds for preterm labor. with my second i was in hosp on bedrest and meds to stop contractions for 4.5 weeks...so obviously when an amnio came back that baby was ready they HAD to use pitocin to restart labor (i was at 6 the whole time). my question here is....is my body going to know what to do on it's own? i haven't had any preterm labor with this one at all. in fact i'm 37 weeks 2 days right now, my apt on mon showed me to be at 4cm, softened cervix. i was just wondering if them stopping and then restarting my labor with my first two would affect this pg at all? sorry if this was a silly question!

Re: question about going into labor
i do not think that the previous labors being stopped will have an effect on this one. It sounds like you are very close!! Yay!!! prayers and hugs!!

Re: question about going into labor
What happened in the prior pregnancies won't keep you from going into labor on your own this time. And- since your cervix did continue to dilate for your prior 2, you probably don't have to worry that you have a cervix that won't progress. Just hang in there! It's gotta be soon! I'm one day ahead of you with induction scheduled next week- so I know how impatient you have to be!

Re: question about going into labor
I am no expert, but here is my bit of advice: DON'T LET THEM MESS WITH YOU! Your body knows what to do
