Why do they grow up so fast?

My oldest is 'only' 2...but, geez...he's TWO already! I can't believe it. He just looks SO big to me

He's 27 months...roughly 35 lbs (33-35)...36-37" (was 35.25" at his 2y appt and has gone through a growth spurt since then)...Knows the basic colors...not the crazy ones like teal or magenta..knows his shapes...some numbers...a couple of letters....WHERE did the time go???
