My girls are always fighting and screaming!

I have a 5 and 2 year old and they fight a lot. THey love each other, I know they do, but when they are together, I always hear screaming. Moreso my 2 year old. I understand that she cannot talk fully yet, but she screams over everything! It seems the only way to keep the peace is to seperate them, but that doesn't teach them anything. I really want some peace and quite in this house, any suggestions?

Sounds like my house.. my two sons are like that.. they fight over everything.. drives me crazy! I try to seperate them with different activites.. but, after a few minutes it all starts over. I've learned that as long as my oldest son (he's almost 4) knows that I'm close he is nicer to his 2 year old brother.. someday they'll grow up.. maybe?! lol

I find that if I deal with my boys lovingly they fight less. If I SCREAM to be quiet ect instead of redirection they fight more. The are currently in a love phase and spend hours playing together. With only occasionaly screams.

Same boat here:
with a 4yr and a soon to be 2 year old. We have really backed off the refreeing them too much. We don't make them share, although we encourage them to think about the other and how they feel. #1 rule is no hitting, biting, pushing, ect... That is a automatic timeout. We try to stay calm as not to add to the chaos. We do have to separate them occassionally, and if they having a problem with a toy it goes to the garage until they decide to play nice. (this even works with the 2yr old)
