Opinions on fleece (outer) Snap Ez and GAD pockets?

Okay, so my 3 month old DD is a weird shape right now: small waist, big thighs. I'm in search of pockets for her, and I'm really liking the side snapping dipes so far, SEZs and GADs, but I've still to find the right size! The medium PUL SEZs are good for now, but are soon going to be tight on her thighs, the chubby mediums are too loose on her waist and the skinny larges are too long in the rise. So I thought I'd try the SEZ mediums that have the fleece outers, 'coz according to their size charts, they're roomier than the PULs in the same size. I've just ordered some at their website, but I'd love to know if anyone would be willing to share their experience with them and also with the different types of fleece (200, 300, windpro light and medium weight.) I'm also waiting for some medium PUL GADs to see how they work for us, and would love feedback about them and their fleece outers too!

I have a 4 month old and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the windpro fleece ones. She wears a medium. However, my DD has smaller sized thighs. But the fleece IS stretchy.

I have a medium fleece (not windpro, not sure which weight) SEZ pocket and some windpro SEZ pocket trainers. The windpro is awesome! It's so soft and bulletproof. The other fleece pocket fits beautifully and it's nice and stretchy, but it lets wetness through with compression so I don't like it under clothes and avoid using it in a car seat. It's great around the house with just a shirt or a dress, though. It has significantly more wetness protection than a fitted, but less than my other pocket diapers.

Re: Opinions on fleece (outer) Snap Ez and GAD pockets?

I had a medium fleece windpro GAD for DS2 that I loved and worked really well for overnight but I thought it fit him funny. He's really long (um, 29.5 inches at 6 months !!) but has big ol' thighs and we had a similar small waist/big legs thing going on, too. The snaps were great for adjusting but I compared to the way GADs fit his older brother they didn't look right on DS2.

Not sure if I was much help here, sorry. But GADs are great diapers and Shannon is a doll to work with if you ever go the custom route.

I started using med sized GADs with DD when she was 4.5 months old. She had (still has) the small waist and thunder thigh issue. I like that I could put the waist on the tightest setting and the thighs in the middle. Knickernappies also worked well for this same reason. Those have more snaps closer together so there is even more opportunity for fine adjustments. HTH

Re: Opinions on fleece (outer) Snap Ez and GAD pockets?

Thanks for all the replies mamas! I'm eagerly waiting for the SEZs. They should be here tomorrow. And I've bought a couple of PUL GADs at the FSOT (waiting for those to) to try, and if I like the fit, I'm going to dive in to buy some fleece ones. The fleece pockets never seem to show up much on the FSOT :-( At least not in mediums...

Melissa, where does one find knickernappies?
