Re: i don't want to quit, but......

I'm going to sound like everyone else, but I'd recommend prefolds. I had a hard time with stinky hemp and so I stopped using it because I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Good luck and hope you find something that works for you!

Re: i don't want to quit, but......

I used prefolds inside my pocket for my DD, and now I am doing that with my 3 mo DS. We don't have stink issues.

However, I don't like how bulky the diapers are with prefolds. So I am switching to hemp inserts in a few days, when they arrive in the mail. Can't wait! But now, I am concerned about the stink issue that I may have to deal with when using the hemp...

Take my advice with a grain of salt, since I haven't used hemp yet. But what about using sports wash from walmart, or petzyme from petsmart? (petzyme is amazing stuff and works great on diapers to occasionally need to be freshened up).

Thanks Mama.........I am only having problems occasionally overnight. I figured since my water was softened with a softener system, I wouldn't need another softener.

I also would try Tide. You can try using less than the recommended amount, but I have washed mine with the recommended amount and then made sure to rinse it well. No stinkies here!

Poly does tend to hold smell, though!
