inserts for fuzzi bunz ..please help! :)

Ok my dd is only 12 days old and is leaking through her fuzzi bunz. We use a cottonbabies insert in it during the day and add a joey bunz at night. She drinks 4 oz of formula every 2 hours.

Any suggestions? Should i double up on cottonbabies? Use joey bunz in the day too? They just seem bulky with the joeybunz added.

gtg she's crying-

tia for your help!

are are they new diapers? Sounds like its probably repelling. I find it hard to believe youd need more absorbency than that!

First how often do you change her?

Second, I always use a micro fiber and a hemp with my dd who just soaks through everything, but lately I have loved a prefold folded horozontally, like second method used on the page where you "start horozontally"

This has worked well for us.

I'm going to go the other direction: is it possible the CB inserts are too wide and are causing gaping at the legs? Try using just a joeybunz during the day and see if that helps. Our dd is a normal wetter and one joeybunz is plenty for her.

Re: inserts for fuzzi bunz ..please help! :)

My ds flooded eveything when he was that young, I just resigned myself to changing him every hour (he leaked just as bad in sposies). It got better and while he is still a pretty heavy wetter at 6 mos, its not as bad. Have you tried stuffing with an infant pf, that seemed to work best for us the cb inserts are great for bigger sizes but imo they are not a good fit for smalls. hth. nak.

I second the too wide thing. That causes a leak every time for us and with a new born's tiny legs I think it's likely. Try some absorbant wash clothes folded in thirds if you don't have prefolds. I would think infant prefolds would be perfect. Just change about 30 minutes after every bottle. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Nothing sweeter than a newborn baby!

If the insert is soaked then you just need to add more absorbancy. Try your nighttime combo during the day and see if that helps. I used two joey bunz at that time. Now at 9 months I use one MOE and one JB and that works very well for daytime.
