advice for trainers

DS is 2.5 and has been using the potty fairly well, but still has a lot of accidents. His biggest problem is that he cannot get his pants/underwear off and on by himself. I want to get him some pull up trainers that are waterproof and pretty absorbant (he gets so upset if he pees on his pants) but stil have snaps to open for bowel movements (he won't even consider doing this on the potty yet). I was looking at three kinds but wanted some feedback from mamas who have tried the products on what you thought.

Happy heiney pocket trainers
MOE Trickle free trainers
Bummis Trainers

How would you rate them absorbancy wise, ease of getting them on/off by self and waterproof. Also, if you know another kind that would work good, please let me know.

TIA
