Diaper Swappers

This is NOT going to be fun. I had to have some Nuclear testing today so they had to inject me with radioactive Dye, therefore I have to withhold the "boo" from Grace for 48 hours(from 10:00 this morning) It's gonna be a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGG 2 nights

She only nurses at night time, nap time and first thing in the AM but she is VERY attached to these feedings.

The thing is, I'm thinking about if she makes it through the 48 hours and just kinda quits asking, maybe I should just go ahead and consider her weaned? I did this a few weeks ago for an MRI so I know she'll still be asking but it's just a thought

I would find out the 1/2 life of the dye & see it would be ok to nurse then. Dr. Hale has much info on this type of thing. If you would like for me to look it up, just PM me, I would be happy to help!

IDK what kind of Dye it was? It was a HIDA scan

Oh no that stinks!

I personally wouldnt wean after but thats me, lol. It is still benefitial to her especially during the cold and flu season!

Well I called the hospital and got the name of the dye(whatever it is) and looked it up and I don't have to leave her off the breast. I found 4 different sites online going through KellyMom and debstmomy looked it up in a book for me and it's totally safe to just go right back to nursing her

I'm so excited!!

So glad you didn't have to hold her off. I would surely nurse through the cold and flu season.

I cannot imagine having to keep my shirt down all night/day.... bailey would be so mad! im so glad you didnt have to go threw that!
