I'm not super picky, but picky enough, and I wouldn't be happy with those- (maybe for 10-15 bucks off fsot- but even then, i've bought used longies for 18 and the knitting is great on them) I'm jsut learning (made my first baby hat 2 days ago all by myself in one night and i'm uber proud of myself - my mom's been teaching me so i've been making her fix all my mistakes ) so i don't know what happend to those- i would talk to the mama who made them and see what you guys can work out- i wouldn't have felt comfortable sending those to you if i had made them.

Not ballsy, just don't want to make a scarf- figured even if they turn out crappy, I can use them for around the house or something.
I am down to the legs, though, and they have obvious stitch issues (mainly short rows gone awry), but no holes and if I can figure out the leg split, I think they will be ok.

That's a good way of looking at it- I'm sure you'll get them done and they will be fully functional and you'll be so proud of yourself having accomplished them- you can only get better at it right? Don't get me wrong, i wasn't unhappy about making a scarf- i enjoyed making it and I gave it to my mom- she likes it.
Sorry- not trying to hijack

Threadjacking always welcome when it's not a cheery ds post, I love pos threads
I tried my fingers at knitting when E was in the NICU. I made him little blankets to lay on, but I never could figure out how to purl (? sp) so they where special Mommy blankies. I would love to learn how to really knit, just no time.

I would also add that i think a lot depends on how much you pay...some mamas charge a little more and offer flawless work and then some charge way too little and the work isn't always as nice! I would be upset though no matter what if I got something like that!

I would be totally upset over these. I have several pairs of longies that are knit (I do crochet) and NONE of mine have flaws like that. Poor knitting quality IMO.
