HELP, BITE DRAWS BLOOD!

My 9 mo just bit my nipple and drew blood. It freaken hurts. Put ice on it, but what else can I do. I still need to nurse him and I'm afraid it won't heal well and that it will be very painful.

Re: HELP, BITE DRAWS BLOOD!

You aren't supposed to put ointments, etc on your nipples but you can put lansinoh on it, that should help. dd bit me so bad around that age that it became infected and green puss was coming out (I know yuck! sorry) but this is what I put on it and it worked like a charm! HTH!
BTW, if you just give your LO head an easy push into your breast before they are getting ready to bite or during then it's likely they'll release b/c it's uncomfortable for them, follow up with a firm "no bite, that hurts mommy!". this helped us and dd stopped very soon afterwards.
