Yes, and I just got my tooth done today shot free! I also got a new filling material, glass ion-something, very cool.

Thanks for posting. Since I too have a dental appt this week. But I have had tons of dental work in my life time and I have never heard of anyone going shot free!!! What does it feel like to have your tooth drilled without being numb? I mean what if they hit a nerve or something? Holy Moly! I think I will ask about it on Wednesday...at least to see if the dentist has had a patient refuse to be numbed! Wow!

For me it feels weird, but it's not something I can't get through. The shot is worse pain, IMO.

I've had more then my fair share of dental work and I've nursed as soon as I've gotten home after all of them and we've never had any issues. And I'm soooo hard to fully numb..I think I get like 4-5 different shots to get it to even remotely cover the pain.
