Diaper Swappers

In the evening DS loves to play and look around, delatching forcably every few minutes and then he grabs the boob with his hands and shoves it back in... he's not bothered or anything, just playing... I have a nursing necklace on the way and I try to nurse him in bed as much as possible since he doesn't play in that position like he does in cradle position... ideas?? i dont mind him playing and looking around so much as the delatching by just pulling away..

DD still does this at 20 mos, so I'm def. no help- but GL! I know how irritating it is..

although it kinda makes me laugh like "what the heck are you doin' kiddo?"

plus she started this new thing where she'll pull the other one out just to look at it, like she needs to know its there ROFL, and if I try to put it "away" she gets so upset!

Ahhhh the joys of nursing.

Could it be that your letdown is too strong? I know that when DS was younger, he would unlatch but because my letdown was too fast for him. He could just be trying to catch his breath.

I thought of that, but my letdown is a lot stronger in the mornings/afternoons than evenings... so I don't think that's it. He only does it at night, but as I was reading I ran into a number of sources that said it was normal

Yeah it's totally normal. Just wait until he starts squeezing them.

DS is in the stage right now. While he's nursing he's squeezing them both!
