Subscription / PM Notices - receiving them?

Starting today I am no longer getting notices of subscriptions or pm's. Can you help me? LOL

I have gmail and have no problems getting notifications and i have a few gmail invites if anyone needs one, just pm me lol

I am having a problem!

I have my threads subrscribed to every post.. so when I post it auto subscribes it.. and usually when I click on user cp.. my posts are there.. and they only show if there is a new post that I have not read.. but now.. they all show weather or not there is something unread!! What is going on??? It just started a fe min ago.. at least that I noticed!! HELPE!!!

I'm also having issues with subscriptions, namely that it's not subscribing me to any, even the thread I started! So I have to go back and hunt for each one when I want to review. Is this a related issue? I am getting PM notices, though, hoory!

You have to start the thread, then subscribe from what I've seen, but if I'm missing something, I'd love to know. It's a pain in the neck to have to go back and subscribe.

Well, I can subscribe...but when I go back later, my subscriptions aren't there anymore! I thought I was doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out if I am. Oh and I'm not getting notices of pms either, but that's no biggie for me.

After you type in the text you want in the box look below it. There are tons of things in a gray boxed area. One of those things is subscriptions. You will have to select "INSTANT EMAIL NOTIFICATION" and then make sure you don't scroll after selecting it. If you scroll after selecting something from a drop down menu it scrolls the menu there fore changing the item you just selected to something else.

If you click on an area w/o anything linked it will stop the selection of that drop down menu and you can scroll back up to hit "SUBMIT" to enter your thread.

AND Another option,

After you type in your thread and hit submit (w/o doing the subscription from that window) you are taken back to your thread to view it. Click the "thread tools" and select "subscribe" on that drop down. It will/should take you to another place (user CP) where it asks you what TYPE of notice you want. Select "instant email notice" (or whatever). then hit the "subscribe" button (I think that is what's there). Then voila it's done.

If you do all of the above correctly/exactly then there could just be issues. I had some prior and they are resolved and have been since June.

For your pm's, you must go to your user cp, then to 'preference' or 'options' (can't remember which) and there are a bunch of PM options. One of them is an option to receive notices/emails about new pm's. Make sure it's selected and click "SAVE CHANGES" or "SAVE", can't remember which is there. If you don't 'save' it it won't take effect.

If you have done it correctly/exactly there could be an issue with the system as I stated above.

When MamaJo has time she will read this thread and look into for you and post re: what she finds.
