erika has refused to nurse all day so far! my boobs are hurting now . she is eating solids fine tho. should i do anything? she hasn't nursed since before bed LAST NIGHT!!

i would def pump if you can that way you won't lose milk, I had to do that last night since my DD kept crying when I would go to nurse her ugh!

i no longer own a pump.she would never accept bottles and never would take bm in a sippy. and only rarely takes juice in her sippy. lol

DS has done that before, when he was about 3 & 4 months old. He would get up and just want to play, not nurse, and not have nursed all night. I ended up engorged and HAD to pump for my own comfort.

Can you hand express? It's a little tricky at first but it does work. I got an Avent Isis hand pump from WIC and I really like it. HTH!

When my LOs would do this, I would play it cool until they were really, really sleepy, then try to slip it in on them when they were half awake. They seemed too sleepy to remember that they had a problem with nursing that day, and would nurse enough to make me more comfortable.

Cut back on the solids, BM should be the MAIN source of food for the 1st year. Many kids get too many solids (not saying you give her too many, I dont know what you give her) then stop nursing, not good!

this is what i did today! i will also wake her before i go to bed so she can nurse since i don't think she got enough today

she eats ALOT of solids but has always had a big appetite for them since starting-and she is petite too.she carries it all in her thighs . she normally nurses 5-6times a day in addition to her 3 meals. i always nurse before offering solids to be sure she gets enough bm.
