Can I take advil cold and sinus?

sorry for lack of capitalization...nak!

I've got a nasty cold. Advil cold &sinus says not to take if nursing, but is that a real warning to listen to or just an overprecaution?

I'm pretty sure that one of the ingredients can dry up the milk some. If I were you, I wouldn't chance it. You might want to check with your dr.?

Check Dr. Hale's "Medications & Mother's Milk" database:

http://neonatal.ama.ttuhsc.edu/cgi-b...s&access=guest

or call your Local LLL leader, they probably have access to a print copy of his book.

Re: Can I take advil cold and sinus?

Nope, you can't. Anything that will dry up runny nose/congestion can also dry up your milk, and it can happen fast!

Drink some Emergen-C. That stuff totally rocks! You can have 4 packets a day, and it works very fast. The moment I ever feel even a sniffle, I start drinking some.

For the immediate--use some Vapo rub for the congestion. Saline spray to clear up your nose. Use a humidifier while you sleep, and use throat drops to soothe your sore throat and/or cough.

I'm sorry you're sick--feel better soon!
