Re: Clueless - What do I take to the hospital?

We took soooo much stuff! It was like we were palnning on moving in! I didnt use half of what I took!
A moo-moo!!! that was my favorite thing! I could unbutton it to BF but I was still dressed enough that when company came I didnt worry about being exposed.
Hair ties!!!!
Basic toiletries. Toothbrush, hairbrush.....
I couldnt sleep the entire 3 days I was there! So at night while hubby slept I read magazines.
Food. And food for hubby! They brought me food but it was too expensive for hubby to eat every meal so my sister brought us soup and breakfast bars.
Just remember that everything you take you have to bring back! We had to borrow a cart to haul everything to the car. All that stuff and the baby was too much!
good luck, it is sooooo worth it!

Re: Clueless - What do I take to the hospital?

I am getting ready to pack my bag as well and since it has been 4 years I have totally forgotten what I actually used. I do remember bringing and wearing my own pajamas because I didn't want my bottom showing. Thanks for all the tips ladies. I will be packing this weekend.

Re: Clueless - What do I take to the hospital?

I've unfortunately never been able to have a home birth so I've learned my have to haves quickly LOL I'm always in labor for more than 12 hours, except for the emergency c section But, here's my list of ideas:

Boppy, super great for a pillow during labor~
ICE~ I know they'll have it at the hospital, but make sure someone keeps your cup stocked, I had terrible nausea and that was all I wanted.
Nice baby blanket if it's cold
of course the adorable take home outfit for baby and you
sling/pouch I love mine to nurse in I never even use the boppy after the baby is born!! LOL well I use it for my pillow
