I haven't read the other threads but my dh is the same way. I would just leave it alone and give it time. Just b/c he says it now, he might be more open to the idea in a couple years when your baby is older.

i agree, give him some time w/o ytalking about it so much, drop lil hints here and there but don't over attck him about it, .. all at once anyway..LOL
me and dh werent planning on anymore after i had my danny,it was a scary experience and dh al;most lost both me and my son.. but i got babyfever when he turned 1 and after about 8 months he finally said ok and we got og with danae.
now im wanting another, he is saying no more, but i talked to him and we agreed that after danae is all better, no more luekemia, then we can ttc again. its a start, i mean he still has the option of changing his mind, and i do too, but what im saying is sometimes you have to just let some time pass and leave windows open for yourselves, he might be thinking no more, but a part of him will be thinking ..or dreaming, just one more, so i want to say

i can give you some positive thoughts. a friend of mine
she and her dh have 4 kids, well he was "done' he even went and got a vasectomy, well, she was 3 weeks pg when that happend, neither of them knew she was pg, a few weeks after his surgery, she took a test and got a BFP, so i beleive if your meant to have more babies, they ARE going to come

My dh is currently the same way. It kills me to know I'm not having any more. He is more adamant than he has ever been. And he said he wouldn't get me a mother's ring until he knew we were done and he got me one last mother's day. It makes me sad.

I agree with the rest, just give it time. My dh wasn't sure he wanted any more after our first, he has a neurological disorder and we had a ton of medical bills from it that put us in debt for a few years. Even though my son's condition isn't genetic, my dh didn't believe we could afford something like that again. But he changed his mind eventually, we now have a second boy that's 4 months old and plan to try again for our third(and last baby) in a couple of years.

I am sorry for you mama. I was in the same boat. Begged and pleaded and the answer was always the same - just one and we have her.
