Question All Baby detergent?

Has any one tried the ALL Baby Detergent with FB's or other CDing? I have read so many complaints about Allens not getting dipers really clean and I know we have hard water. We tried a softner system, but it was not working right and we can't afford to have it fixed. Advice is very welcome!

Thanks!

I believe that baby detergents are not good for dipes. They usually have some sort of fabric softenerin them...

But i could be wrong...

Re: All Baby detergent?

I have heard bad things about baby detergents and free and clear detergents.

I have hard water and use Allens with no problems. I strip every 2 weeks with Calgon (water softener) and several rinse cycles.

Try www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com and look up Detergent Choices. It should have All Baby in there... HTH!

we use all free and clear, it prevents the build up since it doesnt have fragrance and fabric softners.

Re: All Baby detergent?

Thanks a BUNCH for the web site suggestion. It reallly does a great job answering all my questions about the detergents. I will have to bookmark it!

I was able to find out that it doesn't have any added fabric softners and the only "concerns" is that there is some fragrance and optical brightners. Even ALL free and clear has the brighteners, so I think that we are going to try it. If baby seems sensitive, then we will change to something else.

Thanks for the responses.

Re: All Baby detergent?

I've heard Charlie's Soap is good for hard water. I just ordered some from their website.
