Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

1st pregnancy, girl...didn't even know I was pregnant for four months, little if no morning sickness. Gained about 25 pounds, she weighed 7 pounds.

2nd pregnancy, twins, boy and girl...threw up the day after conception...and every day for 37 weeks, at least once a day (usually more). Gained only TWO pounds...one for each baby...they weighed 6 pounds 3 1/2 ounces and 6 pounds 1 ounce.

My daughter (the 18 year old twin), has a 3 month old boy...and she had terrible morning sickness the whole time too (not as bad as what I had...but at least she got to take drugs for it! Phengran put her to sleep...and she had to go to high school, so she took that at night as needed, and zofran? worked wonders for her during the day, as needed)

Re: Morning Sickness Multiple Pregnancies

1st. ~ I had m/s sickness for the first 3 months. {The kind that you are so miserable you just know you can't go on}. Then it switched to every once in awhile until I was 7 months pregnant. She was a girl baby, but it really doesn't matter/ boy or girl.

2nd~ NO m/s what so ever! I mean not even bothered by smells. Also a girl baby.

3rd~ Horrible m/s which required 'in the bum' meds as I couldn't keep anything down. {Sorry TMI}. It did help and by 3/4 months I was great with no other issues!

4th Pregnancy~ I had horrible m/s! I couldn't eat, couldn't walk, couldn't sleep. I also ended up with Insulin Dependent GD and Severe PreEclampsia. Interestingly enough I was on a strict diet and gained 100lbs!! He was a boy baby!

5th~ Abbey. I had severe m/s with her right up until a week before we found out that she had died. She was born the day before I turned 21 weeks.

6th~ Now. SEVERE m/s that NO meds helped! For 18 weeks I was constantly sick, throwing up, couldn't eat or even think of food. Smelling was like super hero powers! I am 23 weeks now and still have some m/s. It hits maybe 3/6 times a week with severe nausea and throwing up. I don't have an appetite either. Expecting another little boy!

So as you can see... baby being a boy or girl really doesn't matter. I think it is severe hormones or something that just really get to you. It really isn't set for sure that you will have it, as I didn't with dd2. That was by far the easiest and best pregnancy, but the worst birth!
