owwwie! Bleeding gums

I am obsessive about taking care of my teeth. My gums have been bleeding like crazy, and they are very sore. I brush my teeth gently a few times a day, swish with salt water, and use an anti-plaque mouthwash. But they are still so sore. Any advice?

What kind of toothbrush do you use? I love my sonicare and it is timed so I don't brush too long.

It's a manual and I have a couple. They're soft head, and I usually watch the clock while I brush.

I have had the same issue since I got into the 2nd tri got worse once I hit the 3rd tri. I was told to try the listerine mouthwash before I brush and after I brush just be sure to rinse your mouth out since it has so much alcohol in it. Mine still bleed even doing this but not as bad and also not as sore. They were so bad I couldnt eat an apple without bleeding, I had to cut it up to eat it. Now I can eat it without cutting it up since I have been doing the mouthwash.
