Re: Anybody else with Restless Leg Syndrome?

I have had it since I was little, it does get worse with preg, i think that is becayse one of the causes of it is prolactin and when you are pregno you have so much more it makes it worse, that is my unmed opinion though

Re: Anybody else with Restless Leg Syndrome?

I had it really bad with my first pregnancy. I took a yoga class for pregnant women and doing that would really help. I would do the Downward Facing Dog pose before bed or whenever I would get that tickly feeling. Some people don't think that is a good pose for pregnancy so be cautious. It really helped me, though.

Oh, and eating two bananas a day helped me also.

Okay, two bananas a day it is! <g>

The hot baths have to be too hot to help my RLS, unfortunately. I think the thermometer said 104 the one time I checked....

My whole family has RLS. I'm the youngest by a lot; the brothers 15-20 years older have it bad during the day too, as did my dad. I'm guessing my pregnancy level RLS is about what they experience all the time. [shudder] I'm just hoping they come up with safer, non-addicting meds for it before I get that bad!

Re: Anybody else with Restless Leg Syndrome?

I don't have it as bad as you, only on occasion (but it is worse with this pregnancy than my first.) The times that I get it is when I am over-tired, so maybe try going to bed before you're beat.... if that's at all possible!

Re: Anybody else with Restless Leg Syndrome?

My MIL has it (not preg related obviously). I got her some of the hylands RL pills. I am not sure if you can takem while preggo. She hasn't said how they work yet. I'll let you know!
