Re: Prefold/cover mamas?

Yep, my DS's pf looks like the pic above--snappied. Don't worry about 'sticking' your DS with a snappi--they're plastic and not sharp. I've got a *very* wiggly little guy and he's never gotten caught with it. I wouldn't just lay a pf i a cover b/c i know it would get the cover dirty when he poops, whereas with the snappied pf the cover only gets dirty about 1/2 the time (he's exclusively bf so that poop is very runny and gets out the legs sometimes).

We use the reverse newspaper fold b/c i find that gives us 'tabs' both on the front and back of the pf to use. Here's a link:

I just simply trifold it, lay it down the middle of the cover and put it on him. Works great for us without learning how to pin it on or the such. But what works for us may not work for others. I do hope you can work it out.

Re: Prefold/cover mamas?

I found that when I first got mine. I have found the key is to shorten the prefold so your cover can go over it nicely, so either trimmed (works great) or just fold the front more. I have lots of pictures so I will post as well.

My pictures are all with a trimmed premium prefold. It is with a Bummis SWW, WWB cover and Tootle shells cover

I prefer the snappi'd PF since it helps to make it more trim and I think it stays put better. But I use both pretty regularly. HTH!!
I recognize that MaiMaiBB cover. Looks really cute. Love the fit.
