shorties, longies, sets? wool questions

I have not used wool before

I can't spend too much as I'm not sure if Rowan has any allergies (my mom has a horrid wool allergy and I have a mild one.)

I'm thinking longies instead of shorties since we're heading into winter; I just need something cute, warm, and lanolized for her to sleep in, in case of leaks from her pul pockets. I am open to trying fitteds or something under the wool, but as she's a supersoaker I really don't know what I'd be dealing with. nighttime solution right now is a petite fb with a bigger weeds and it's working well, but I'm not paranoid if she's a little damp in the morning since it's so warm; come winter when it's really cold, I will worry a lot more.

I want something uber soft but am not familiar with types of wool or know what to look for. I prefer a solid or mottled look, no stripes or anything.

Given the time of year, I'd love to order from someone where I could get a matching T, hat, socks, or something along those lines from if the longies worked out for us.

What does felted mean?

and where do I get lanolin/whatever to wash it in that smells heavenly? I'm big on yummy yummy scents How do I care for the wool?

Thank you all for always giving me great answers for the questions I have, I am having a BLAST with cd'ing and learning new stuff!

Re: shorties, longies, sets? wool questions

Wool is so fun to try!!

My ds is a superheavy wetter and we do fitteds under wool for nighttime. It works long as you get good fitted and wool. We us FBs some nights and Very Baby Simply Nights with merino crocheted wool. For night, crocheted is better than knitted.

For wool, I would look for merino, targhee, or bfl....they are all supersoft and works good. Merino would probably be cheaper.

Naturally luxe is a great place to get yummy smelling fav is pink sugar. I also got a lanolin mister from Northern Essence in sugar cookie and it is yummy. I use wool wash from naturally luxe too (used to be called monkey sudz)...the fragrance I use is choco lime...yum!!

I make longies...check out my cart if you want or pm. I like cutting a deal to ppl trying out wool.
