Question about Tickers vs. Blinkies

Why are Blinkies allowed but tickers are not??

I got a message from a Mod to remove my ticker and I will, but I was pretty suprised that Blinkies (which I think are pretty big and distracting, sorry ) so why one but not the other???

its a size thing.

if you right click on any image (ticker or blinkie) and click on properites you can see how big they are. We only allow images that are 150 pixels wide by 50 pixels high. Most tickers are much, much larger then that.

Thanks for the explination - That's all I wanted! I didn't think it took up any more room than 3-4 lines would.

Lilypie now has mini tickers can we use them instead of the full size tickers?
