Had to laugh I called DH @ work this AM to see how the roads were ect. He made me laugh so hard. He said he was cleaning off the car and one of the neighbors asked "how does this car plugging in thing work, if I plug it in now will I be good in 5-10 min?

LMAO! Who lives in Alberta that doesn't know how to plug in a car/ how block heaters work? Not thier first winter here either.

Wow, I bet they didn't go anywhere anytime soon after that!

I know my friends in the southern US get a kick out of us plugging in our cars. One of them asked me if I had to drive with it plugged in in the winter time.

I replied "Only when you can find a long enough extension cord."

I love hearing comments like that! I had one person down south ask me on the computer how much money we save on gas because we drive cars that run on electricity! (thought that was what the plugs on the car meant!)

LOL! Too funny. If anybody finds a sale on those superlong cords, LMK, I hate having to walk after going 20ft. If only they would start putting plugs in more accesible spots. LOL!

I think their car sat there for quite a long time. Hope wherever they were going it wasn't too important. I guess they will learn from their crash course in Alberta winters.

well....I am a born and raised Albertan, and for the life of me, I can't even FIND my pluggy thing on my nissan. We've had it almost a year and a half! I've only had time it was cold enough to struggle starting so far, but I know I'll get caught sooner or later.

Yours could be missing the cord off the block heater (it is removable, maybe you can contact a Nissan dealership and ask for a cord?).
