Re: do mama cloth nursing pads work??

My favorite cloth are the Bravado brand, they kept me dry. I have a set from Avent and some Gerber ones, but I soak thru them. Never tried MOE or WAHM's although I see they get high marks here.

I tried Lily pads too, but think I am just going to save them for when I don't expect to leak but can't wear a bra or am wearing a thin fabric. They didn't seem to help the leaking as much as help with preventing too much nipple stim. or protrusion. LOL!

I made my own (7 sets) but I'm not leaky so 1 set a day works and I bought pul but don't need it for that project but it could be used.

I have wool backed obv ones from Cloth Diapers EH! and I LOVE them!! They are very absorbent and you can get customs done in different colors of wool. I have a nice rainbow to pick from every time I get up in the morning!

I was a heavy leaker and the only cloth that worked for me was the Mother of Eden leak proof pads that are backed with PUL...it's a FB diaper for your chest These saved my life I was going through so many disposable pads, I didn't want to continue to throw my money away and create more garbage. I didn't venture into wool pads, but you might want to check into it.

This is the way to go if you are wanting to be thrifty! My mom has tons of fabric and just used flannel. She cuts 5" circles and layered them 2, 4 and 6 layers. They work great! The only downfall is that if you go out and wear a tighter shirt is will look a bit bulky. So I bought a few of these: http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/store...rsingpads.html
