Re: at what point do you give up on a dipe coming?

And the PO commonly says it can take up to 30 days to get your mail

I've only been scammed a couple of times, but really by 3 weeks without seeing anything, odds aren't in your favor, KWIM? However I have personally had stuff take that long to get to me.. so it's not always the sender's fault.

Hang in there though, and keep in contact with the seller... keep them updated and let them know what's going on. I sent some diapers nearly a month ago that haven't arrived, but I've kept in contact with the buyer, and she's been incredibly patient. If they don't show up this week I'll refund her, but I'm still hoping.

Re: at what point do you give up on a dipe coming?

It depends on what kind of contact I've gotten from the seller. If I have heard nothing, probably 30 days if coming from within the US. I'd wait longer if the seller was responsible about keeping in touch with me and had some good reason.

Re: at what point do you give up on a dipe coming?

Well, I bought a WWB cover from a mama here over 3 weeks ago and it hasnt arrived yet. However, she used DC, so I know she sent it, but they just never got here! I havent emailed her because I dont expect a refund since there is proof she mailed it...it is just a bummer it is stranded somewhere.

Re: at what point do you give up on a dipe coming?

I felt horrible when I sent a package to Canada and it never got there. She threatened to file with paypal 1 month after I sent it. I told not to bother and refunded the money. What else could I do? Did I get scammed? I don't know...I asked her to let me know if she ever received the dipe.

Re: at what point do you give up on a dipe coming?

DC isn't proof that a package is mailed. Just that a shipping label was printed in Paypal. It might never be mailed. And even with DC, you could get an empty envelope...

That said, I don't think I've ever waited more than 2 weeks on dipes (maybe less) that really were sent. One time I never got dipes that were sent, and the mama refunded me in a reasonable amount of time. For months afterward, I still did think it was possible they might arrive. I got scammed two other times, but eventually got my dipes or money both times. It was a huge hassle both times.

I've shipped a few hundred orders in the past year for my business (not diapers). I've only had one order disappear in the mail (I always use DC). And everything else mostly arrives in a reasonable amount of time. I guess the order that disappeared could still arrive, since I recently got a package in August that was shipped in March. But I haven't had orders weeks or months to be received, except that one.
