Poor baby, have you tried soaking her in a warm bath and rubbing her all over with some baby lotion, it used to work on the boys especially when I would massage their bellies and backs

OMG, I've been having the same problem!!!! My ds just doesn't cry to sleep, he just gets more high pitched and red. I feel like an awful mom, and I get incredibly angry I just want a little help, ya know? Anyway, mama, I feel your pain!

Re: dd is hopelessly cranky

Are you breastfeeding? If she's really gassy, it is very possibly something you ate. Also, what all my kids have liked when they were real little and gassy was to be held over someone's arm or laid on their bellies because the pressure on their tummies would help get rid of the gas.

i haven't changed my diet at all so i don't think it would be gassiness from my breastmilk but i'm trying to take it easy today on what i've been eating.

Re: dd is hopelessly cranky

FYI, some food intolerances can develop over time. My dd was sensitive to pasteurized dairy, but it only really started manifesting itself around 3 months (she had/has eczema). So just because you haven't changed your diet doesn't mean she isn't having problems with something you are eating. However, it may also just be a temporary thing and she needs some help getting the gas out - as pp said, perhaps a tummy rub (clockwise in a circle on her abdomen) will help.
