Re: Ladies PLEASE READ re: birth control

I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

It is awesome and you can probably check it out at your local library to view it before purchasing if you want.

i also use nfp because of beliefs. I love it! It is empowering to know that I can take charge of my body that way!

Re: Ladies PLEASE READ re: birth control

I'm going to post this here... I also posted in the other thread as well...

I am extending a heart-felt apology to any and all persons I may have offended. I did not intend for anything so drastic to come of simple academic information.

There is much more I'd like to say, but it's useless. I'm not going to beg for forgiveness as I don't believe I have anything to really apologize for. What should I say? I'm sorry for posting the truth in a medically appropriate manner?

Anyway... I hope that ya'll don't think that us NFP users are nut cases and are wack jobs that think that everyone is evil and going to hell just because you use a condom or BCP's. I'd have to say 99.9% of us don't even come close to thinking like that.

Peace to all of ya'll!

This is not to tell you that you're wrong, but in my NFP classes, we heard of women whose cycles/bodies were really strange, and they still successfully used NFP, even used to help balance things out. I think one of the books mentioned by someone else "Taking charge of your fertility" is a tool that can help women use natural means to normalize their cycle. NFP can also give women the knowledge of what's going on month to month to talk to you doc about...so then a doc could help with the cycle irregularities. Just a note...I don't have that experience myself, but that's what we were taught. So, I guess I'd really be saying that any woman really can use or at least try NFP.

Re: Ladies PLEASE READ re: birth control

I've read TCOYF cover to cover. I have PCOS & I dont always get ewcm or temp shifts if I O, sometimes I get them and dont O. Its why I cant use NFP. Believe me, I've tried, temping, checking cm & cp....my body just does whatever it wants!
