Growing out of infant prefolds- whats next??

I have both chinese infant prefolds and indian infant prefolds. My son is now 11lbs and they are getting small to snappi. The indian are almost impossible because they are a little smaller than the chinese. So what is the next prefold step?? I have switched our stash to mostly prefolds/fitteds and wool. So regulars seem big plus i dont like that they are only 4x6x4 i would rather something 4x8x4 or equivilant in absorbancy- any suggestions?? thanks

Premiums. They are same size as regular but 4x8x4. They will be bulky at first though.

we have premiums that i use on my 30lb toddler and there is no way these will fit my baby anytime soon. and the regulars i had were smaller than premiums.

hmm. See by the time I got my infant prefolds DS was already too big for them at 12 lbs if I wanted to snappi, but if I used pins they still fit. I hated using pins back then so I just ended up using the premiums I had. They were HUGE on him.

I really don't know what to tell you if you don't think the premiums will fit yet. You could always try a regular with a doubler, perhaps? Or maybe a different fold? How long is your kiddo?

just looked at measurements and i guess you are right about them being hte same size- i could have sworn they were different. I am not sure how long he is but he is a long guy! LOL He is 2 months old(was a preemie born at 35 weeks) and is already wearing 3-6M in onesies. i guess i will try a premium on him later. thanks

If you're worried about bulk, I'd do regular w/ doubler (like PP said)--maybe something nice like OV or BOV on the doubler to wick moisture away. You could also have them trimmed so you don't have to fold them over. Do you sew? Know anyone w/ a serger?
