Serged or T&T?

For fitteds that is...

What are the pros and cons?

Which do you prefer for longies? Which do you prefer with other covers?

Re: Serged or T&T?

I think T&Ts are easier to fit under covers. But I like the ruffle-y look of serged, too.

I don't like sergered diapers. I just think they look kinda messy. I'm definitely a t&t person.

So if it's going under longies it doesn't really matter? I kinda' like the ruffle-y look too...

Re: Serged or T&T?

I voted T&T for fitteds because the ones that I have that are surged peep out the legs of the dipe and transfer wetness onto the clothes.

Re: Serged or T&T?

I personally like serged - they have a bit more stretch to them if they are made with knit fabrics, and so I think they end up trimmer. I only serge the dipes I make for ds with wooly nylon, and haven't had any problem with rubbing.
We do wool, though, and only occasionally wear regular pants on top, so there is no problem with them peeking out at the legs.

I think sometimes turned and topstitched items are bulkier with a kind of hard edge.

Re: Serged or T&T?

if under wool i would pick serged but i think both work equally well under wool. if using fitteds with covers definentely T&T so you dont have to tuck in all those ruffles.
