lanolizing ??

I knitted a VERY cute F&F soaker that I'd like to try out. Do I need a special lanolizing balm?? I've heard you can lanolize with Lansinoh melted into some hot water. Does this work?

Re: lanolizing ??

Yes, just be sure to add a little baby shampoo to it in order to emulsify the lanolin. The water should look cloudy.

Also, if you melt the lanolin in hot water, be sure you bring the "mixture" to a lukewarm temp in the sink before you add the wool so it doesn't felt.

ETA: Check out the info here
