Re: Man Pleasing Dinners?

My DH says he'll eat anything, but always seems to have an opinion,

We generally eat beef, pork, turkey, some fish, and very little chicken these days. That being said our staples are:

Stroganoff
ribs -- grilled or baked (beef short ribs are very good in the crock pot)
most meat marinated and grilled
spagetti
tacos
grilled cod or halibut with grilled vegies
breakfast (french toast, eggs, bacon, fruit)
soup and sandwich
meatloaf
sweet and sour meatballs

Re: Man Pleasing Dinners?

My SO has to have meat with his dinners. He is very stubborn about that and feels it isnt satisfying unless it has some kind of meat (including seafood).

Our most frequent meals that he loves (sorry if they are repeats!):

Spaghetti - either made with shrimp and alfredo sauce or with meatballs/ground hamburger and tomato sauce.
Meatloaf
Steak dinners
Burgers
Chili
Cheesy chicken spaghetti (http://thepioneerwomancooks.com/2007...n_spaghet.html)
Lasagna
Pot roast
Chicken cooked on the grill
Tacos (either beef or chicken)
Fried fish (usually sunnies, bass or northerns)
Salmon
Any kind of seafood!
Salads, and veggies too, for side dishes.

Thats all I can think of for now!

Re: Man Pleasing Dinners?

My dh is a meat and potato eater. But he also likes it when I make.
Green chili stew
Green chili made with pork or chicken
I make a dish called meal in one which is like a layered thick stew but it is in a casserole dish.
Homemade fry bread with beans or chili
I love veggie meals which I can do as long as he has meat to go with his.
Sometimes I do a hearty omelet with a salad.

Re: Man Pleasing Dinners?

I made DH happy with this one the other day... (he accused me of having his mother make it. he liked it that much.. lol)

Take a sirloin steak place in baking dish... Cover with diced tomatoes(large can), diced peppers and onions... Cover with lid and bake at 350 for 3hours..

And take a few baking potatoes (washed) slice 3/4 way through about 1/4 in apart and press down on either end to spread apart a bit.. Place in another baking pan melt half a stick of butter and mix in some garlic and pour over potatoes.. Cook at 350 for an hour..

Re: Man Pleasing Dinners?

My DH likes this one...

Saute one big onion(sliced) and a bunch of peppers (different colors-sliced) in some butter and add sliced beef smoked sausage (or polish sausage...)

Serve over mashed potatoes (homemade or instant) Super easy and it is a meat and potato meal.

Pork chops are his other fave.

Omelets/eggs-breakfast for supper

brats or burgers with fries

Shepards pie

ribs

pulled pork sandwiches
