Re: how do i use a broiler
Most ovens have a "hi" or "low" option for broiling, and your recipe should tell you which one to use, but when in doubt, use "low". The way I use a broiler is to set my oven rack on the highest position that allows for the pan to be in there, turn the oven on broil, and then set whatever is being broiled in the oven and then watch it like a hawk because you can set stuff on fire with the broiler (this I know from experience
). Usually you only broil things for 3 to 5 minutes, because it works pretty fast. HTH!

Re: how do i use a broiler
I love the broiler because you can make dinner in a flash! I often plan 2-3 meals one week that require cooked chicken. I buy a big bag of frozen chicken breasts or thighs and put them in the broiler on high for about 10min (still frozen) then I can put them in the fridge when they are done and have a couple meals worth of chicken already cooked and ready to go! (chicken alfredo, chicken salad, chicken tacos, any casserole with chicken...)
