Purple fingers

Okay - I don't want to call my dr about something that's nothing, but...

yesterday, I was sitting in a meeting and realized that my hands felt funny (they've been slightly swollen for a couple of weeks - I'm 33 wks pregnant.)
I glanced down at them, only to see that the end 1/3 of all fingers were purple. I figured it was a circulation thing, so I elevated them. The purple pretty much went away after a few of minutes - my knuckles were still discoloured for a while.

Has anyone else experienced this - should I call the dr if it happens again? (not that I have much confidence in doing so - I'm not crazy about my dr, but had to switch to him for insurance reasons.)

Re: Purple fingers

That happened to me when I was pg with Fox. Only, I was taking a nap and I guess put weird pressure on my leg (I'm a crazy sleeper lol). I woke up and my toes were purple. I just massaged them and put them up and they went back to normal.

Since your situation is a bit different, I'd probably call (I didn't, it was a one time deal and I knew what caused it). I'm not sure what a doc would do for bad circulation though.

Re: Purple fingers

I would call/go in. I don't know if you have had any other signs/symptoms, but for me major swelling like that had to do with preeclampsia. It is definately worth checking out!
