Cipro is an L3 catagory. It caused some joint problems in baby cows
The primary side effects in peds patients have been GI upset.
If your DS is 2 and only night nurses, I hardly see any reason for the fuss. Just watch him for GI symptoms.

My guess is that the med is a smoke-screen to impose their dissaproval of your extended nursing. Stay strong Mama!
