Question Sour milk

I bought some sour milk, it's from a Organic farm and I didn't look at the date. So, I was wondering what can you do with sour milk so it doesn't go to waste? I don't think anything but, wanted to ask.

Re: Sour milk

I think you can use it in place of buttermilk-when you don't have buttermilk, you add lemon to sour the milk, right? Just a guess, though

Re: Sour milk

Is it really sour, or past the date? I bought some organic milk and continued to use if for around 10 days past the date and it never went sour. That stuff is like gold!

Re: Sour milk

When I have sour milk I use it for baking. Great in pancakes, waffles, muffins, cornbread....that kind of thing.

Re: Sour milk

I also have used sour milk in baking with no problems. I also use outdated yogurt in muffins and pancakes.

Have a happy Easter!

Re: Sour milk

My Coffee Cake reciepe calls for buttermilk or sour milk. You could make some to use it up. I would probably take it back to the store myself.
