Re: would she get teased? (baby name question)

I wouldn't worry too much about initials because she can change her name when she is an adult. She might go by her middle name or a nickname. In the end kids tease and you can try to think of every possible way that might happen and try to prevent it but they will still find a way.

Re: would she get teased? (baby name question)

I had people call me by my initials all the time [BEB, nothing bad and no real meaning]. But, never heard anybody call my brother by his. So, it just all depends.

I don't think those particular initials will get her teased....but I doubt that most people will even pay attention to initials except for friends anyways. I try to stay away from truly rough initials A**, PIG...you know LOL I kinda think about monogrammed items and what initials I would want on something like that.

I don't think those ititials are too bad. I do always remember an older friend telling about still remembering a girl from her school days who everyone teased because her initials spelled rat, though.

A girl I went to school with had the same initials. When we all found out in 3rd grade it was funny but it blew over quickly. Only the immature kids kept saying something about it.

Re: would she get teased? (baby name question)

Kids get teased when they are unpopular whether they choose to tease them about their name, their clothes, or whatever. It has more to do with popularity and peers than with names. When I was in elementary school I was unpopular. I got teased for being smart, for being a teacher's pet, for being poor, and for having a backwoodsy name (Mary Jane). Then in high school I was in a different town and school and more popular and my name was considered to be very cool. If I can be teased for having two of the most common names on earth Mary and Jane then I highly doubt that the name really has anything at all to do with teasing. They can come up with something mean regardless of what your name is if that's what they want to do. So name your child what you want to and the teach them to be confident and self-assured.

I went to school with a boy who had the initials PMS, I thought it was funny, LOL but never said anything to him about it. I agree, if you like the name it will be fine!

HAHA..my initialn growing up were MMLand the guy I was dating's last name started with an M.. I always got "Ha your initial now are mml (said phonetically it sounds kinda like like ) and if you guys got married it would be mmm (said phonetically - as in mmm mmm good )" and guess what.. I DID MARRY HIM!! MMM isn't so bad..

I don't think initials really matter. Kids are mean and if they want to pick on someone they will find a way to do it no matter what
